Sergio Tansini - Managing Director, Mobile Phones
Sergio is Managing Director of our Mobile Phone Division with full responsibility for all our aftersales support activities associated with mobile devices. Prior to this, Sergio was the CEO of TRS since July 2002, managing the complete turnaround and modernisation of the company to its market leading position and acquisition by Regenersis.
Sergio began his career as an electronic engineer in the automation and military industry. At a very early stage he converted to a sales and marketing career in the semiconductor business with Celdis. Here, he grew with the company to become Managing Director leaving in 1989 to pursue an international career.
Sergio's first major European role was with Unisys where he managed the channel and third party business progressing to fully manage the organisations total desktop business. He moved to ICL where he spent five years as VP of Sales & Marketing and Deputy Head of the Service Division managing more than 7,000 engineers and the growth in the outsourcing and managed service divisions.
In 2000 Sergio and his family moved to Scotland following a decision to manage a small technology company IndigoVision, helping the team to a successful floatation that raised more than £50m, establishing the company as a leader in its field. In 2002, Sergio was invited by Richard Emanuel to join the ITS Group and to manage as CEO of Total Repair Solutions.
