Gary Stokes was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2007 following the acquisition of CRC Group plc, where he had served as Chief Executive Officer since joining the business in April 2006.
Prior to CRC Gary had been a Divisional Managing Director of LINPAC, then the UK’s largest privately owned industrial group, and was a member of the management team that completed the sale of the business for £860 million.
Previously Gary served as Chief Financial Officer at both Atkins plc and Tomkinsons plc before moving into general management as Managing Director of retail operations at Gaskell plc.
Gary qualified as a chartered accountant before pursuing a career in industry.
